Today's visit was just for a short time since my stamina isn't quite up to snuff, but I hope that I will be going back to Boston on Sunday for good.
The plan is still for August 1. Lots to do before we go home, but it is a good list of things to need to do.
Ellie is resting up for her big move-

Gib - So glad you got to see your girls. Abby - you are the greatest Mom - 12 days on your own with Ellie in the hospital - I don't know if I'd have that strength, but I guess we find strength in the most dire circumstances to plug on. Your precious angel looks just adorable in those pictures, big smile cute dress! She'll LOVE to be home!
This is Katie in AZ, I read all the time. I am totally pulling for you, Abby. I can not imagine how hard the last few weeks have been. I cried when we finally took our little short gut guy home. I felt inadequate to say the least, but getting him home was the BEST medicine. I kept looking over my shoulder wondering when the nurse was going to come correct me, she never did. Yet he still did great. You are Ellie's BEST nurse and she is blessed to have you and Gib (Lyme's disease and all!!) I am sooo happy to hear that home is near. You are doing an amazing job! I am available ANY time to answer any questions when you are at home.(not that I have the answers!) We have many friends praying for Ellie, she sure looks great. Such big bright eyes. We will keep reading. Thank you for the update. You and Gib are amazing people. Speedy homecoming, and grow little gut grow!!!
