This is the story of Eleanor Brogan who was born in April 2006. She was born missing 90% of her small bowel and 20% of her large bowel. This made her "Short Gut" or "short bowel", hence the name of the blog. Currently she is being treated by Children's Hospital Boston. She was the 23rd child to go on the new lipid for TPN, called Omegaven. Which has saved her liver, kept her off the transplant list and we believe saved her life.

You two are anazing and your daughter is beautiful. I think she is blessed to have you as her parents. The pictures are wonderful, I can see her growing from week to week. This is my third or fourth try at blogging....not too good at this, know I'm thinking and prying for you every day. Aunt Marge
She's pink and beautiful. I watched the movie and saw both arms winding up. I can't decide if she's Schilling of Delcarmen.
Marge can't get her password straight, so she says to tell you Ellie is pink and beautiful. We're not an original pair.
Gramma came home from the hospital last night and I could hear the joy in her vioce. "II held for two hours. Her billiruben is only 2.3. She's all pink and smiling at me." Good signs.
The last picture of Abby was wonderful, she looks so animated and happy....it's really amazing. Sounds as if your plans are moving along pretty well, and that's a plus. I hope this blog makes it, I'm not very good at this. I am thinking of you all. Aunt Marge
